Course Content
This course is designed for those who are members of a confined space rescue team. It enables them to determine the safest emergency response actions, search procedures and rescue procedures. Our trainers are highly skilled professionals, who bring years of experience to the program. If you have or are planning a rescue team, this course is a must.

Prerequisites/participant Tools
All required tools and materials will be provided.

• Characteristics of confined space hazards
• Special risks of confined spaces
• Confined space procedures: written plans and permits
• Use of test and safety equipment
• Personal protective equipment – use and limitations of rescue equipment
• Emergency response actions and rescue procedures
• Search procedures
• Incident command control and rescue management
• Termination of incident
• Emerging rescue techniques
• Past incident analysis
• Incident prevention

Michigan Department of Public Health Advisory Board CECs are available for this program.
Note: Two-day and refresher courses are available on-site.
